The artist group Meteor International are based in Seved/Sofielund in Malmö .We make art projects mainly in the public space, at unexpected places. The group was formed in 2003 to make it possible to make larger projects that needed many participants and that could reach out to an unpredicted audience. The group consists of artist members of different ages and thereby bridges the gap between older and younger artists which is one of the main ideas behind the making of the group. Meteor has a network of artist members from India, Iran, Egypt, US, Estonia, Germany, Denmark besides its Swedish members.We want to make art that reaches to a public that are not used to go to art galleries or art museums. We have recently made several outdoors exhibitions in parks and along a canal in Sweden and in Los Angeles to get a better outreach to a larger public audience. We reach out to thousands of people in our art projects. We have made most of our projects on zero budget and all have worked voluntarily. We make social art projects in the area where we are based in Malmö, Sweden mostly involving children and their parents with research and art combined. It is an area with low socio-economic status .Our ongoing project Conflicting Spaces is a research and art exchange between Malmö, Sweden and Howrah in India where we all incorporate research on labor community in both cities in the art project.We are planning Conflicting Spaces 2.0 with artists in Cali, Colombia as a continuation of Conflicting Spaces and involving the artists from the first project into it . The artist association Meteor was founded in 2003. It is a registered organisation with Swedish Tax Authorities.

- 2014 Meteor organised Hidden Art along Gota Canal at Ljung and Berg, Sweden with 85 swedish and international artists.

- 2015 Meteor organised Hidden Art in Slottsparken and Kungsparken in Malmö, Sweden with 130 artists from all over the world.
- 2015 Meteor organised Hidden Art in Höganäs, Sjöcronaparken
- 2016 Meteor will hold workshops “One Spit Deep “ with pupils at Sofielund School in Malmö, researching the history and stories of Sofielund inhabitants and make paintings -and photos on electric cabinets in the area around the school together wth the pupils.
